Abstract Submission
Environmental Educators are invited to submit abstracts for the 2012 EEASA Conference to be held at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa.
Formats:
Presentations may be in the following formats:
- Short paper presentation
- workshops
- showcasing of sustainability practices
- round table discussions
Conference Streams:
Conference streams will be based on educational sub-sectors and the overall conference theme “Environmental Learning, Agency and Social Change” will be the focus of each stream. This should enable EEASA to get a holistic picture of how environmental education and training is contributing to human agency and social change across the different educational sub-sectors. Proposed streams are:
- Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity Conservation and Agriculture
- Higher Education & Training (including teacher education)
- Formal Schooling
- Informal Learning (including workplace learning, youth programmes, public awareness etc.)
- Business and Industry
- Local and National Government
- Inter-sectoral (cross-cutting) work.
Reviews:
- Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Conference Organising Committee and will be considered based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to the field of environmental education
- Relevance to the conference theme
- Relevance to one or more sectoral streams
- Clarity of content

Submission:
Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words. Also include: title, author, contact details (e-mail address and telephone number), organisation, 4 key words and educational sub-sector (i.e. conference stream).
